Institute of Construction Economics and Management is a guarantor of Civil Engineering Management branch of the Civil Engineering study programme, where it guarantees teaching at all levels of study (Bachelor‘s study programme – Bc., post-Bachelor Master‘s study programme – NMg. and complementary doctoral studies programme – DSP). We provide selected specialised courses in economics and construction management within all other study programmes and study branches at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Brno University of Technology (BUT). In the framework of the Lifelong Learning, we offer short-term specialized courses as well as multi-term specialized courses of study.

We form research and development teams dealing with technical-economic aspects of construction activities, development of the territory within the area of construction investments, construction project management, order management from the perspective of the investor, order management in construction companies and construction design offices.

As part of our teaching, research and professional activities, we develop cooperation with both private and public sector not only in the Czech Republic, but we also significantly develop foreign cooperation.

We form a team of experts who provide advisory and consultancy services in the field of economy and construction management. We specialize mainly in project management of construction projects, evaluation of economic efficiency of investments, cost analysis and management, evaluation of tenders, real estate valuation and construction budgeting.
